Locking to avoid new participants and ensure it remains ended
If you feel the need to censor a word it's a sign you shouldn't use it.
Yeah it's common for RPG's to have those party dynamics.
smh @ the Ichi erasure
It's called courtesy. Doesn't take much effort to add a simple warning to your post.
With Yakuza: Like a Dragon's release soon, and on so many platforms from the get go, there are likely to be newcomers to the series who will go on to experience 0-6.
Folks, please don't mention major plot points in your initial post. If you really want to discuss spoilers then make it clearly known in the title. Perhaps consider using the first post as a content warning and starting the discussion in earnest within a reply.
Else expect your post to be deleted.
Thanks.

There's a version with Kiryu, Saejima, Akiyama, and Shinada cheering together but Saejima and Shinada's parts are taken from other songs. It's just Kiryu and Akiyama who have specific interjections for that song.
Woop woop! 2 weeks to go until Yakuza 4 Remastered is released!
In the meantime, to aid with efficient updating of the wiki, I'd like to suggest that people intending to record gameplay and/or edit articles for 4R communicate their intentions. It would be great to know what bases are covered for the release. Also, it will hopefully allow for people without access to the game to know where they can find information if they would like to contribute.
My plan is to record substories, hostess dialogue, mini-games, shop/restaurant/bar menus, and as much from the challenges as I can achieve. I'll be uploading everything to YouTube and probably mega.nz too. I also want to create substory articles but I'll know closer to the time if I'm actually able to.
Please consider over the next fortnight what you might want to do for 4R; with the influx of new content over the next few months, planning ahead will help us a lot. The more we get done with the digital releases the less pressure there will be in February when we get the influx of people who buy the physical collection and people looking for Y7 info.
Warm wishes to all,
Lammy.
I see the merits of both options and combining the two is what I favour the most. I've tested this with a few characters and it appears to work really well. Here are some examples. It's all for demonstration purposes; those aren't necessarily the event titles I'd go with nor the definite headings. (I would actually put "Appearance" and "Personality" as subheadings under "Profile" as I've seen and liked on other game wikis.)
Kazama
Nishiki
Daigo
Majima
Shinada
I'm not a fan of the "Early Life" heading because we don't actually have that for most characters, it's just events that took place before Y0. I dont think there's anything before 1988 that's playable in the main console series so "Before 1988" works for everyone who needs it.
Same with "History" on location pages. A heading is necessary for events before Y0 but I personally don't like that term; to me it doesn't fit. "Before 1988" would probably work for that too.
Aesthetics shouldn't be a factor. It's easy enough to play around with font sizes to get the look right.
? good point, tyvm!
Hi folks, hope all are well. I'm trying to add all the food & drink menus for 4, 5 and Dead Souls, and I'm unsure about which descriptions to use? I've noticed that some items are described differently on the menu within the location than they are on the challenges completion lists. Also, with the alcoholic drinks, the menu descriptions tend to be a repeat of the drink's name but when you actually order a drink there's an actual description from the barkeep; should I use these instead?
