Akaushimaru (赤牛丸 lit. "Akaushi Circle"), known as Akagyu in the original Yakuza, is a beef restaurant chain with locations in Kamurocho, Tokyo and Isezaki Ijincho, Yokohama.

History[]

Akaushimaru is a generic version of the real-life Matsuya restaurant chain, whose Tenkaichi Street location it replaced from Yakuza 0 onwards. Between 2016 and 2018, a second location was opened at the northern end of the Hotel District.

As of 2021, Yoshinoya has taken over every location where Akaushimaru used to operate.
