Big Lo (郎老大, Láng Lǎodà/ビッグ・ロウ, Biggu Rō) is a supporting antagonist in Yakuza 6. He is the leader of the Saio Triad.

Profile[]

Appearance[]

Big Lo has a comb-over hairstyle and a well-trimmed goatee.

Attire[]

Big Lo wears a black shanghai neck shirt with matching dress pants and a pair of black leather shoes.

Personality[]

As the leader of the Saio Triad, Lo is a strong believer in its traditions, especially the Blood Law. To that effect, he closely groomed his son, Jimmy, into a leadership role within the Triad, while fathering Yuta and smuggling him to Japan as a morbid insurance policy. Despite helping the heihazi set up new lives abroad, he stresses that the Saio is not a charity and is willing to use grim means to ensure their pact with the Yomei remains intact, indicating that he is not above the morally questionable aspects of organised crime. This, coupled with his grim and stoic demeanor, gives the impression of a heartless man who is solely concerned with carrying out his work regardless of the consequences.

However, there is another side to Lo. He honors his obligations and expects others to do the same, as shown by his request to meet Kiryu alone. True to his word, Lo upheld his side of the bargain, and did not attempt to attack Kiryu by surprise. He also refused to expand into Japan despite pressure from his son Jimmy, as that would violate the agreement the Saio had with the Yomei. He also cooperates with Kiryu on the matter of the Secret of Onomichi, giving Kiryu a vital piece of evidence to help reveal it. Lo also appears somewhat remorseful that he could not be a better father to Yuta, acknowledging that he had no right to call Yuta his son and wistfully observing that such is the way of the Triad. Despite his experience in the organised crime world, Lo lacks the psychopathy of most crime bosses, and does not enjoy the unsavory aspects of his work.

Background[]

SPOILER WARNING: Plot details for Yakuza 6 follow. (Skip)

Big Lo succeeded his father as the leader of Saio Triad around 1985. Information of the Secret of Onomichi was passed to him, but not the secret itself, as his father had not known its true nature either.

At an unknown date, Lo had his son, Jimmy Lo. Lo later had another son while Jimmy was still a child, in the case that Jimmy passes before inheriting the Saio Triad.

MAJIMA CONSTRUCTION IS AT WORK! This section is under construction.

Following the burning of Little Asia, Big Lo quickly reconstructs the area and makes it the base of operations for the Saio Triad.

Around September 2016, Lo discovers the death of his son, Jimmy Lo, and begins attacking the Tojo Clan. Due to Jimmy's death, Lo also seeks out his other son, Yuta Usami, as the heir to the Saio Triad. Before seeking out Yuta, Lo makes several attempts on the life of his son, Haruto Sawamura, as he would be the half-Japanese heir to the triad.

  1. The given height of 183 cm (6′ 0″) is based on the character model's scaling factor within Yakuza 6's data.[1] For Dragon Engine games, this method is believed to be very accurate (±2 cm). However, this is intended as an estimate, not a substitute for an official statistic.
