Yakuza 3 Biography[]
Yakuza 4 Biography[]
His origins and reason for fighting are hidden under a veil of mystery. However, his graceful moves will remind you of a certain man. It's fair to say that he is the reincarnation of a legend.
Yakuza 5 Biography[]
Everything about him—his past, his age, his motivations—are shrouded in mystery. However, his graceful dance in the ring is reminiscent of the style of a legend. It would not be exaggeration to say that this legendary man was ressurected in the Coliseum.
Fighting Style[]
Yakuza 3[]
Ebinuma fights similarly to his namesake, the real-life martial arts master Bruce LeeWP, applying the Jeet Kune Do philosophy of "minimal effort, maximum damage". He assumes a southpaw position, leading with his right hand. His moveset comprises the following:
- a Rush Combo consisting of a left hook-right hook, and a right hook kick-left inward crescent kick-spinning right hook kick;
- another combo consisting of a telegraphed hopping right side kick, and a kneeling right vertical cross;
- a right roundhouse kick,
- a hopping right side kick,
- a right vertical jab,
- a flying right side kick as a running attack, and
- a double front kick as a guard reversal.
His attack trails are blue.
Yakuza 4[]
Ebinuma retains most of his moveset from the previous game, with the exception of his guard reversal. His jab attack can also stun opponents.
Yakuza 5[]
Ebinuma’s moveset has been altered from its previous iterations. He now possesses Kazuma Kiryu's Komaki Knockback and Komaki Evade & Strike abilities. His flying side kick has also been reworked, functioning as a basic attack rather than running attack, and his jab no longer stuns opponents.
Ebinuma has no attack trails.
Ebinuma's Yakuza 5 moveset is reused by Masashi Kunieda in Yakuza Kiwami, a watered down version is also used by Munan Akamatsu in Yakuza 6.
