Sins of the Father (教祖様のつぐない, Kyōso-sama no Tsugunai, Lit. "The Sect Founder's Atonement") is the 26th substory in Yakuza 6.

Plot[]

Munan Suzuki has been released from prison after the events of Yakuza 0 and now lives in Onomichi. He asks Kiryu to infiltrate a religious group with him, and the two join the order together.

Suzuki asks to meet the current leader of the order, Munan Akamatsu, and together with Kiryu he reveals to them that he is Munan Suzuki, the first leader, who now wishes for them to dissolve the order altogether. After exposing Akamatsu as a fraud, he admits he considered restarting the cult himself but decided to instead forsake it due to having met Mie, whom he considers both a friend and admits to having romantic feelings for.
