This superhuman knows not defeat, having supposedly faked all of his losses. His unparalleled physique alone is enough to make even the most hardened fighters think twice about fighting him.
Background[]
Six months prior to Taiga Saejima entering Purgatory, Ibrahimovic made his debut in the Underground Coliseum. He quickly rose up to become its champion, accumulating 100 consecutive victories in the ring without ever being defeated.
Involvement[]
Yakuza 4: 2010[]
Ibrahimovic is called on by the Florist of Sai to fight Saejima in the Coliseum, hoping to test the ex-yakuza's character. Despite his prowess in the ring, the champion fighter is no match for Saejima, who defeats him and renders him severely injured. The crowd demands for Ibrahimovic to be finished off, but Saejima angrily refuses and decries their barbarism. Afterwards, Ibrahimovic is taken to hospital, where he makes a full recovery.
Later, Isao Katsuragi and the Ueno Seiwa Clan raid Purgatory in an effort to capture Saejima. Ibrahimovic and the Florist are both beaten unconscious by the attackers, and Saejima is taken hostage.
Fighting Style[]
Yakuza 4[]
Ibrahimovic is a highly skilled mixed martial artist, as evidenced by his status as the Coliseum's undefeated Champion. His fighting style is centered around Muay Thai, but focuses on quick punches and kicks over clinching. Some of his attacks are taken from Andre Richarson's unarmed moveset.
His combos are listed below:
- a Rush Combo consisting of a left jab, a right cross, a left gut punch, and Richardson's low roundhouse kick, followed by:
- Richardson's high roundhouse kick,
- a low left Thai roundhouse kick, or
- feinting a left knee strike for a left calf-kick, and Richardson's high roundhouse kick;
- an overhand left-right-left-right combo, and
- a combo comprised of three of Richardson's low roundhouse kick.
The remainder of his moveset includes:
- a high left Thai roundhouse kick, which can stun his opponent;
- the Yakuza 3 and 4 generic enemies' grab attacks,
- a flying right knee strike after quickstepping forward,
- Richardson's downed attack, doubling as a basic attack; and
- a generic enemy beckon taunt.
He will sometimes fall on his right knee due to exhaustion, before getting back up.
Ibrahimovic can perform a Heat Action after stunning his opponent, where he throws a flying right roundhouse kick that knocks them down. In his story boss fight, he can enter Heat Mode and use this attack, but with a QTE that allows Saejima to dodge it. After using it, he will automatically return to his calm state.
He emits a neon yellow aura in Heat Mode.
Yakuza 5[]
Ibrahimovic retains most of his moveset from Yakuza 4, with the exception of his overhand combo, quickstep attack, Heat Action and taunt. He also has Kazuma Kiryu's Komaki Knockback and Komaki Evade & Strike abilities.
