Yakuza 2/Yakuza Kiwami 2 Edit
The Jingweon Mafia boss is seen in the 1980 flashback in the introduction, where he is wounded and powerless against Shintaro Kazama (called Shintaro Fuma in Yakuza 2), who carried out the hit against the organization.
In chapter 11, after Kiryu and Kaoru find out that the boss is the father of her brother, Kiryu reveals to her that he inadvertently caused the boss's demise. In the flashback, Kazama confronts the Jingweon Mafia boss and begs him to leave to save himself and his remaining men during the massacre. The conversation is interrupted by a 12-year-old Kiryu, who believes that the Jingweon boss is threatening Kazama and attempts to attack him with a pipe. The boss attempts to shoot Kiryu but Kazama fatally shoots him to protect Kiryu. The boss attempts to crawl away but Kazama shoots him multiple times. In a repeat of the game's introduction, the badly wounded boss accuses him for lying and claims that the Jingweon Mafia will still live on.
