He's the one who taught Kiryu about the Rush style, a fighting style that focused on speed and quick chain of combos, influenced by boxing. He was first encountered when Bacchus took Kiryu to a place where he fought a street thug, giving Kiryu a revelation to the Rush style.
His subsequent encounters happen at the Shichifuku Parking Lot, where Kiryu can hone his skill with the Rush style.
