Kazuki (一輝) is a recurring character in the Yakuza series first introduced in the original Yakuza. He is the proprietor of the Club Stardust.

Profile[]

Appearance[]

Kazuki has medium-length hair, with a face described as being of "a pretty boy's."

Attire[]

Kazuki wears a cross necklace and white suit over a black dress shirt with a pocket square and a pair of matching white dress pants. He is seen in green hospital pajamas while recovering at the Emoto Medical Clinic.

Personality[]

Compared to Yuya, Kazuki has a much more composed manner. Being put under Shintaro Kazama's wings, he's also a skilled businessman, able to raise Stardust to a point where it becomes Kamurocho's top host club without having to rely on protection.

Background[]

Kazuki opened Stardust at some point between 1995 and 2000. In his early days as the owner, Kazuki was mentored by Shintaro Kazama and received funding from him.

Involvement[]

Yakuza/Yakuza Kiwami: 2005[]

After the clash between Yuya and Kazuma Kiryu, Kazuki apologizes to Kiryu for not letting Yuya know that Kiryu has an appointment with him. Then, Shimano's men go to Stardust and want Kazuki to give them protection money. Yuya argues with Shimano's men, kicking them out of Stardust. Yuya refuses to let Kazuki pay Shimano's men, and Kiryu helps fight them off.

Yakuza 2/Yakuza Kiwami 2: 2006[]

In June, out in front of Stardust, Kazuki is attacked and abducted by members of the Jingweon Mafia. An imposter takes his place as owner of Stardust. During his captivity, he overhears the Jingweon Mafia's plans to blow up Kamurocho, and "One bomb for each of the brothers we lost 26 years ago."

In December, he is brought up to the roof of the Amano Building, where he stands next to his imposter. Jiro Kawara, Makoto Date, and Kazuma Kiryu find him there, and he attempts to convince them he is the real Kazuki. Kawara recognizes his voice as authentic and trains his gun on the imposter, but looks away for a moment, allowing the imposter to shoot him and Kazuki. After the imposter is killed, he is carried to the Emoto Medical Clinic by Kiryu, where Emoto performs surgery on him. He later wakes up and recounts when he overheard the Jingweon's plans of bombing the city.

Yakuza 3: 2007-2009[]

Kazuki continues his recovery at the Emoto Medical Clinic when Kiryu and Haruka say their goodbyes. Haruka stays with him while Kiryu goes to meet Goro Majima.

In 2009, Kazuki and Yuya are harassed by the Nishikiyama Family, and refuse to let them buy Stardust. Kiryu returns and joins the hosts in kicking them out. Much later, Kazuki and Yuya restrain Goh Hamazaki after Kiryu is stabbed by him.

Yakuza 4: 2010[]

Kazuki and Yuya are sought out by Kiryu when an imposter makes yet another appearance at Kamurocho. They help Kiryu track the imposter from his blog posts.

Yakuza 5: 2012[]

Yuya mentions that Kazuki still runs the club.

Yakuza 6: 2016[]

Yuya mentions that the club has been bought by the Jingweon mafia and that Kazuki wants to repurchase the business.

Kazuki has now regained ownership of Stardust.

Fighting Style[]

Kazuki uses the generic ally fighting style used by every ally of Kiryu has besides Keisuke Baba. It consists of a unique four hit combo, a generic high kick, and a generic roundhouse kick.

Yakuza Kiwami[]

Kazuki copies Akira Nishikiyama's NPC style, which is the generic boxing style with an extra grab.

Yakuza 3[]

Kazuki has a unique style consisting of a three hit combo with two quick jabs and a shuffling straight punch, a ducking uppercut, and a heavy punch.
