Kei Ibuchi is a new character introduced in Majima Saga in Yakuza Kiwami 2. He is the main antagonist in the Majima Saga.

Personality Edit

While being considerably intelligent, Ibuchi openly disdains senior management position within the Tojo Clan due to it being associated with old values like moral codes and humanity. He was so obsessed with trying to “update” the yakuza, he planned for the Tojo Clan to merge with the Omi Alliance by inciting a war between the two.

Appearance Edit

He wears a pinstriped navy business suit over navy tie and white shirt. He also wears a pair of frameless glasses.

Background Edit

Patriarch of Ibuchi Family, a new family within the Tojo Clan that was formed during Terada's chairmanship. With a unique background of consultation, he possessed an excellent capacity to make rational judgments and an overwhelming amount of knowledge. He's the one who recommends Akinobu Uematsu, a fellow patriarch, to fill the position of the Clan's captain, due to him and Uematsu's family being the top two financial contributors for the Tojo Clan.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 Edit

Ibuchi was first introduced in the first chapter of Majima's saga, where he proposed to Terada that only the patriarch with the most profit should be promoted to the position of clan captain. He later appears in the Grand Cabaret and executes Kawamura with a bullet to the head after Majima fought him. Ibuchi explains his plans to Majima and tries to kill him so he won't interfere with his plans and his belief that Majima's “outdated” yakuza ideals needed to be extinct. Despite using his gun, Ibuchi was defeated by the Mad Dog of Shimano, bloodied and beaten. He later commits suicide by shooting himself in the head, unable to live with the result of his fight and still believing that an East vs West yakuza war is inevitable

Fighting style Edit

He fights using a combination of melee attacks like kicks and grabs and gunshots, since he's a trained marksman. If the player is at distance from him, Ibuchi will pause to aim at the player and shoot, so notice when he is aiming and dodge when the time is right. Occasionally, he will try to grab Majima and then shoot him in the abdomen, which can easily knock Majima down.
