Biography
Judgment
Hamura is the captain of Matsugane Family, a third-tier family within the Tojo Clan ranks. Despite his ranks as a captain, he assumes a financial control over the family, and thus making him more influential than Matsugane.
Hamura was initially suspected of murdering a Kyorei Clan yakuza, following an altercation between Matsugane Family and Kyorei Clan goons at Amour, a club in Kamurocho. However, the charges are successfully overturned by Masamichi Shintani, a lawyer from the Genda Law Office, with the help of Yagami. Following his acquittal, Hamura begin to warn Yagami to not to dig deeper about the case. Seeing Yagami's ignorance towards the warning, Hamura begin to resort to beating down Yagami at Cafe Alps, during which Yagami managed to escape his goons. Soon after, he ordered Toru Higashi to raid Yagami's office as another warning regarding the murders.
The following day, Kamurocho was shocked by another murder case. The victim is a Matsugane family member, which prompts him to go into hiding. Later on, Yagami discovered Hamura's current whereabouts: a secret cho-han parlor at Champion District.
Trivia
- Due to Pierre Taki's drug-related charges, Hamura's model and voice were replaced for the Western release of Judgment. His new voice actor, Miou Tanaka, previously voiced Akinobu Uematsu in Yakuza Kiwami 2.
