Lorentz the Corsican Panther is a member of the anti-yakuza vigilante group known as The Reapers, whom Kazuma Kiryu faces off against during the Hitman sidestory in Yakuza 3.

BackgroundEdit

Lorentz is a mafia hitman from Corsica who became fascinated by the stories and legends he heard about the Japanese yakuza, particularly the infamous Tojo Clan. Eventually, he decided to move to Japan to see what the yakuza were like in real life. Once there, he was approached by the Reapers, who'd learned of his reputation as an incredible hitman back in Europe and offered him a position within their ranks. Tempted by the chance to fight yakuza members himself, Lorentz agreed.

Yakuza 3Edit

After he joins forces with Ibuki and the Honest Living Association, Kiryu is sent to find Lorentz and get him to leave the Reapers.

Kiryu runs into Lorentz in front of the Millenium Tower, where the foreign assassin is doing some sightseeing. Much to Kiryu's surprise, not only does Lorentz realize who he is, but he's also a big fan. The Italian man asks Kiryu to tell him about his life in the yakuza and about how the Tojo Clan works, but Kiryu insists that he isn't a yakuza anymore and that he couldn't tell him too much about how the Tojo Clan currently works, since he hasn't been a proper member in years. Disappointed, Lorentz decides to instead fight Kiryu, to test himself against him. Unsurprisingly, Kiryu defeats him.

Ultimately, Kiryu convinces Lorentz to leave the Reapers by telling him that, if he does so, he can go to the HLA headquarters and ask their members to tell him their stories about the yakuza, since they're all former members and many of them left the Tojo Clan only recently. Excited, Lorentz agrees.

As a reward for getting Lorentz to leave the Reapers, Kiryu is paid 130,000 yen.
