Nishida (西田) is a recurring character in the Yakuza series first introduced in Yakuza 2. He is one of Goro Majima's lieutenants in the Majima Family and an employee of Majima Construction.

Nishida has short hair and thick eyebrows. He is almost always seen wearing a Majima Construction hard hat, with the exception being during Yakuza Kiwami 2's Majima Saga. He wears both blue and violet dress shirts.

Nishida is deeply loyal to Majima, sending emails for him to Kiryu and helping with Majima construction along with defusing bombs. He seems to care deeply for his mother, fearing that Majima's lack of knowledge in defusing bombs could lead to his death which would devastate his mother.

Yakuza Kiwami[]

Nishida is featured in Yakuza Kiwami, helping Kiryu in the Majima Everywhere side-stories by keeping him in touch with Majima's current condition through phone calls and e-mails. He does not physically appear in this Game.

Yakuza 2[]

This is his first physical appearance. Nishida first appears when the members of Majima Construction are aiding the Tojo Clan's battle against the Jingweon Mafia by defusing the bombs that the Jingweon have hidden in Tojo-controlled businesses across Tokyo. Majima and Nishida are shown deactivating a bomb placed in a Tojo Clan office, with Majima giving Nishida instructions on which wires to cut in order to defuse the explosive. Much to his horror, Nishida soon realizes that Majima doesn't know anything about bomb disposal and is giving him instructions entirely based on instinct and what he's seen in action movies. Nishida speaks about his mother, who lives by herself in the country and would be devastated if anything were to happen to him. In spite of relying entirely on guesswork from their leader, Majima Construction succeeds in disabling all the bombs.

Nishida is seen in two more scenes after the bomb disposal is over. In the first, he's giving Majima a back massage at the Kamurocho Hills construction site when Majima informs Kazuma Kiryu about the success of his bomb disposal. His last scene has him and Majima waiting outside Kamurocho Hills, waiting for Kazuma Kiryu to finish his final showdown with Ryuji Goda.

Yakuza 2's Kiwami remake adds the Majima Saga, set several months before the events of the second game. The Saga starts with a scene showing Nishida dragging a wheelbarrow full of Majima's earning into the Tojo HQ Boardroom so that his boss can brag about how much cash he's been making in front of new Chairman Yukio Terada, whom Majima dislikes. At the end of the Saga; when Majima quits the Tojo Clan and forms his own independent criminal organization in the guise of a construction company, Nishida and many other former members of the Shimano Family are shown being instructed by Majima on how to start a construction company. Much to Nishida's chagrin, all the advice that Majima offers is to "look shit up on the internet and start building".

Yakuza 3[]

Nishida is seen in Chapter 1 where he is waiting outside Millennium Tower while Majima takes care of family business with Kashiwagi. He is later seen standing near the Majima Family office in West Park.

Yakuza 5[]

Nishida is seen waiting for Taiga Saejima outside the batting center in the prologue to Saejima's story arc. Saejima asks him to keep Majima in-check for him while he's in jail.

Yakuza: Dead Souls[]

Nishida's notebook is found by Kazuma Kiryu and Ryuji Goda, it contains the combination for a safe at Millennium Tower.
