Pocket Circuit (ポケットサーキット, Poketto Sākitto) is a mini-game introduced in Yakuza 0 and is also featured in Yakuza Kiwami and Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name.
It is hosted by Pocket Circuit Fighter in Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami, and Ran in Gaiden both of whom provide commentary.
Gameplay[]
The player races against other racers with Pocket Circuit cars on a race track in their own lanes. To win, the player needs to be the first one to reach the finish line after eight or more laps. While racing, the player can choose to give their car a boost which will greatly increase the speed of the car for a few seconds but will give it a higher chance of flying off the track and it's limited. If the player's car is about to fly off the track, flip over, or starts to slow down, there will be a prompt for the player to quickly tap the symbol on their controller/keyboard matching the one shown on-screen in order to correct the car.
The player can choose to customize their own Pocket Circuit cars with various parts such as tires, gears, and others as well as change the color of the body and tires of the car. The player can choose to do a test run with their car at any time.

The following customization-profiles come from real, successful game play, but should be taken only as a suggestion. That´s because a handfull of different setups can lead to victory at pocket circuit racing. Winning a race sometimes implies to almost permanently and repeatedly press the "B"-button throughout all laps, because your car won´t be stable all the time und you never know when trouble comes in. Also you might have to press the "Y"-button once or twice at the optimal point of the track and also after the correct amount of laps already driven, respectively if you are going to ride through a giant loop the long way or not.

- Ultra Rubber Frame
- Godspeed Motor Mark II
- Ultra Boost Gears
- Regular Battery
- Heavy Suspension
- Bumper Plate
If you can´t beat Sumire with this setup (and by using "Y" twice), then try to get the missing parts and develop a better customization!

Trivia[]
- In Yakuza 0, if the player plays as Goro Majima and attempts to play the mini-game, Majima will refuse to enter the stadium and state that it's for kids and not his thing. Despite this, in Yakuza Kiwami's Majima Everywhere system, Majima begins to take racing against Kazuma Kiryu seriously and goes as far as to make his own custom car and race track.
- Pocket Circuit is based on the real life Mini 4WDWP hobby.
- In Lost Judgment, a pocket circuit car box can be seen inside of Yui Mamiya's home.
