Ishioda's hairstyle is a thick, brown mullet and a trimmed goatee. He has a noticeable scar on his face which runs diagonally over his left eye.
His attire consists of a dark blue suit over a printed, black paisley print dress shirt, a gold and brown striped necktie, and a pair of black leather loafers. He wears a gold-rimmed aviator sunglasses and a gold earring on his left ear.
Ishioda appears to relish violent acts, as he takes a certain type of glee out of storming the Geomijul's base with a wrecking ball, as well as his attempts to kill Ichiban Kasuga with said wrecking ball. He demonstrates sadistic and unstable tendencies, as he acts happy when he gets hit and responds to hits with ferocious counterattacks. He is also ambitious, eager to assume a leadership role in the Omi Alliance and work with their powerful allies and subordinates, and is noted to be hard to control by higher-ups.
Ishioda was stated to be on the frontlines when the Omi Alliance took over Kamurocho.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon: 2019
He first appears at the head of an Omi-backed Bleach Japan "protest", operating a wrecking ball to break down the barrier the Geomijul had erected. Upon recognizing Kasuga, he immediately begins attacking him and his friends with the heavy machinery. Later, he appears alongside Hajime Ogasawara and Yu Nanba within the Geomijul's base, intent on finding the proof of counterfeiting to weaken the Ijin Three's Great Wall of Muscle. His efforts are stalled by Kasuga, and he reluctantly flees once the counterfeiting evidence is destroyed.
Ishioda later joined with fellow top Omi officer Yosuke Tendo to attack the Yokohama Liumang, and elevate one of its members - a traitorous Omi loyalist Akira Mabuchi - as the leader, but this was foiled by the efforts of Kasuga and the Liumang leader, Tianyou Zhao.
Much later, at the request of Ryo Aoki, Ishioda - who is now a part of the Tokyo Omi Alliance (formed following the dissolution of the Omi Alliance proper) - plots to assassinate Jo Sawashiro after he had been arrested following his defeat at Kasuga's hands, in order to permanently silence him. To this end, Ishioda contracted a legendary assassin named Mirror Face who assumes the appearance of Koichi Adachi, in order to leverage his law enforcement background to be able to reach the imprisoned Sawashiro. Kasuga and his party confronted Ishioda and Mirror Face in an office belonging to the former. After defeating the duo with his friends' help, Kasuga angrily asks Ishioda if he was behind the recent assassination of Arakawa; Ishioda admits that while he was attempting to kill him, Tendo beat him to it.
One of Tendo's men, observing Ishioda's failure from a distance, reports it to Aoki and Tendo. With their permission, the subordinate triggers a bomb in the office. Kasuga and his friends, as well as Mirror Face, spot the bomb before it can detonate and are able to safely escape in time.
Ishioda's fate is left ambiguous. It is never clarified if he was also able to survive the explosion. He appeared to have been slumped over the desk at the time the bomb was spotted, making it seem less likely he'd be able to escape in time; additionally, there was talk of someone or someone being killed in the explosion, which would suggest he indeed died.
- The given height of 190 cm (6′ 3″) is based on the character model's scaling factor within the game's data. For Dragon Engine games, this method is believed to be very accurate (±1 cm). However, this is intended as an estimate, not a substitute for an official statistic.
