Reiji Ishioda (石尾田 礼二, Ishioda Reiji) is one of the tertiary antagonists in Yakuza: Like a Dragon. He is the patriarch of the Ishioda Family, a subsidiary of the Omi Alliance.

Profile[edit | edit source]

Appearance[edit | edit source]

Ishioda's hairstyle is a thick, brown mullet and a trimmed goatee. He has a noticeable scar on his face which runs diagonally over his left eye.

Attire[edit | edit source]

His attire consists of a dark blue suit over a printed, purple dress shirt with matching pants, a gold and brown striped necktie, and a pair of black leather loafers. He wears a gold-rimmed sunglasses and a gold earring on his left ear.

Personality[edit | edit source]

Ishioda appears to relish violent acts, as he takes a certain type of glee out of storming the Geomijul's base with a wrecking ball, as well as his attempts to kill Ichiban Kasuga with said wrecking ball. He is also ambitious, eager to assume a leadership role in the Omi Alliance and work with their powerful allies.

Involvement[edit | edit source]

Yakuza: Like a Dragon: 2000-2019[edit | edit source]

Ishioda was at the Omi officers meeting in Kamurocho that Kasuga interrupted, but was not shown.

He first appears at the head of a Bleach Japan "protest", operating a wrecking ball to break down the barrier the Geomijul had erected. Upon recognizing Kasuga, he immediately begins attacking him and his friends with the heavy machinery. Later, he appears alongside Ogasawara and Nanba within the Geomijul's base, intent on finding the proof of counterfeiting to weaken the Great Wall of Muscle. His efforts are stalled by Kasuga, and he reluctantly flees once the counterfeiting evidence is destroyed.

Ishioda later joined with Yosuke Tendo to attack the Yokohama Liumang and install the Omi-sympathetic Akira Mabuchi as the leader, but again, he was stopped by Kasuga. He is presumed to have been killed in an explosion targeted at Kasuga's party.

  1. The given height of 190 cm (6′ 3″) is based on the character model's scaling factor within the game's data. For Dragon Engine games, this method is believed to be very accurate (±1 cm). However, this is intended as an estimate, not a substitute for an official statistic.
