Profile[]

Appearance[]

Honda is a large man with a wide, heavily muscular build. He has a black mustache and medium-length light brown hair.

Attire[]

Honda wears a black vest, a pair of green camouflage trousers and a pair of fingerless gloves.

Personality[]

Come on, Yagami-san. You and I know fighting's the only thing that keeps the world spinnin'.

— Renji Honda, Judgment

Honda appears to live to fight, relishing the challenge of taking on a strong fighter like Takayuki Yagami. He only fears going to prison because he would not be able to fight Yagami on the inside.

Involvement[]

Judgment: 2018[]

Honda approaches Takayuki Yagami after hearing rumors of his strength. Kenta Kasai tells him to stop talking and start fighting Yagami, but Honda punches him down, saying that he does not want to "dogpile" Yagami, preferring the challenge of a one-on-one fight. Honda loses the fight, but appreciates Yagami's strength.

Later on, Honda is defeated by Yagami once again, is forced to give Kamaguchi back the ¥800,000 he owes to his money-lending business.

During the Revenge of the Keihin side case, Honda interrupts Yagami's findings when the latter discovers the Keihin's main source of funding in the Kamurocho sewers. However, Honda is in turn interrupted by Ryan Acosta's appearance, who is successful in ambushing Honda by having his 'disciple' pose in his place in the sewer. Upon Honda's defeat, he retreats as Koga soon enters the scene to defeat Yagami, as Honda recognized the Keihin's impending doom.

Lost Judgment: 2021[]

Honda works with operating the Genbukai alongside other Neo Keihin Gangsters. One day, he is approached by Fudo Oshikiri, who was informed that his son Kenya had previously fought in the Genbukai, and seeks to find him. After participating in the tournament, Fudo joins the Neo Keihin Gang.

Honda is able to locate Kenya at the Todoroki Boxing Gym and demands Go Todoroki to bring out Kenya, reuniting with Yagami in the process. Kenya arrives, and Honda is thrilled at the prospect of fighting both of them. During their fight, Fudo steps in to try and take back Kenya, and Honda prevents Yagami from interfering. After Kenya stands up to his father, Honda joins Fudo is fighting them, but they are defeated and he escapes while dragging Fudo away.

Outside an abandoned Neo Keihin Gang hideout, Honda brings in some reinforcements to subdue Yagami (while mentioning Fudo's alcoholism and depression from his prior failure), but members of the Todoroki Boxing Gym arrive to interfere with his plan. Kenya challenges him, and Honda is excited to have a rematch with Kenya and Yagami, but Yagami takes the opportunity to escape. Honda is defeated by Kenya afterward.

Fighting Style[]

Honda uses Keiji Shibusawa's Brawler style. His Mortal Attack is three flying uppercuts.

In Judgment, attacks from his right arm do more damage once in heat mode.

His aura is bright orange. Unique for a boss, he has a specific body part glow entirely in heat mode which is his right arm.

Trivia[]

  • In the credits of Lost Judgment, his name is misspelled as "Renzi Honda".

Notes[]

  1. The given height of 195 cm (6′ 5″) is based on the character model's scaling factor within Judgment's data.[1] For Dragon Engine games, this method is believed to be very accurate (±2 cm). However, this is intended as an estimate, not a substitute for an official statistic.
