MAJIMA CONSTRUCTION IS AT WORK! This article is a stub and is under construction.

Miyamoto Musashi (宮本 武蔵, Miyamoto Musashi) is the first chapter of Ryu Ga Gotoku Kenzan!.

Plot[]

Five years prior, in 1600, Miyamoto is running a sword-fighting dojo in his home province of Mimisaka. One day, he is approached in his home by Marume Nagayoshi, a general in the army of the Tokugawa Bakufu. Marume explains that within days, the armies of Clan Tokugawa and Clan Toyotomi will meet in battle at Sekigahara to determine which dynasty will gain control over Japan, and he is recruiting skilled swordsmen to carry out a special mission in the lead up to the battle. After being offered a position as a swordmaster at Tokugawa Bakufu's homebase in Edo Castle, Miyamoto agrees to participate.

The night before the Battle of Sekigahara, Marume and his ally, High-Monk Nankobo Tenkai, explain to Marume's unit that their special mission involves assassinating a traitor within the Tokugawa Bakufu's army. Miyamoto volunteers to carry out the assassination, alongside another soldier called Majima Gorohachi, whom Miyamoto had previously gotten into a fight with during dinner.

That same night, Marume's unit attacks the traitor's home's front gate to serve as a distraction, while Miyamoto and Majima sneak in through the back. The pair fight their way through several of the traitor's guardians before arriving at his bedroom, where Miyamoto kills him after a brief duel. Only after the traitor is dead do the pair realize that the man they just killed was Yuki Hideyasu, the heir to Clan Tokugawa. After being attacked by more guards, Miyamoto and Majima flee.
