The Trap at Sekigahara (関ヶ原の罠, Sekigahara no Wana) is the second chapter of Ryu Ga Gotoku Kenzan!.
Plot[]
After escaping the Yuki estate, Miyamoto Musashi and Majima Gorohachi takes refuge in an abandoned temple and await Marume Nagayoshi as they were instructed. While they wait, both men talk about their lives. Miyamoto mentions his desire to travel the world and become a famous swordsman, while Majima talks about his violent past as a wandering ronin, which he gave up only a few years prior to take care of his sister in Omi Province. Majima warns Miyamoto to not let his desire for notoriety lead him down the same violent path he used to follow.
Eventually, Marume shows up as promised but, instead of congratulating Miyamoto and Majima, the General and his men draw their swords and attack the two soldiers. Both men manage to hold them off and try to flee the temple, only to be ambushed outside by a platoon of reinforcements led by a mysterious samurai called Sasaki Kojiro. Miyamoto bests Kojiro's men with his two-sword style combat, but he is then defeated by Sasaki's superior swordsmanship. When Sasaki is about to kill Miyamoto, Majima jumps in to defend him, but he too is incapable of beating him and loses an eye in the fight. Unable to win against their aggressors, Miyamoto and Majima escape by jumping into a ravine and fleeing under the cover of the thick brush.
