Shinichi Shinohara (篠原 信一, Shinohara Shin'ichi) is a character featured in Yakuza Kiwami based on the retired Japanese judoka of the same name.

Attire[]
Shinohara's attire consists of beige suit over a white shirt, brown pants and a pair of black shoes. During the fight with Kiryu, he switched his clothing into judogi, a traditional uniform for judo.

Shinohara and Kiryu misunderstand a quarreling couple at the streets of Kamurocho. After clearing things up to the police, he tells Kiryu that he's going to Kamurocho for sightseeing and is unfamiliar with it, so he asks Kiryu to show him around. First, Kiryu takes him to Kanrai, where both men enjoy a large BBQ meal. Then, at Shinohara's request, Kiryu takes him to the JeweL cabaret club. After visiting the cabaret club, Shinohara doesn't feel too satisfied and tells Kiryu that he's looking for a one-of-a-kind spot, which makes Kiryu think of the underground fighting cage in Purgatory, where Shinohara gets so excited that he signs up for the fight and wins three matches. Afterwards, he requests a fight with Kiryu, but loses the fight.
