Involvement[]
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth: 2022-2023[]
Sasaki hears about Ichiban Kasuga, a well known Hello Work contractor giving honest work to ex-yakuza. He seeks out Kasuga for work, Kasuga turns Sasaki down saying "The yakuza life has left you, but you haven't left the yakuza life", resulting in Sasaki making a scene while threatening Kasuga, although Kasuga remains firm, prompting Sasaki to storm out of Hello Work. After Kasuga finishes his shift, Sasaki encounters Kasuga and offers again to pay Kasuga, but is turned down once again resulting in Kasuga fighting Sasaki. After Kasuga is victorious, Kasuga jumps into the dirty river to retrieve the money before handing it back to Sasaki. After which, Kasuga then explains that the money the he was given was for a phone plan the man needed to do the job Kasuga gave him, and that Kasuga was eventually going to pay him back.
Sasaki approaches Kasuga at Hello Work for a job once more, albeit acting in a more professional manner compared to his previous visit. Sasaki admits about his criminal record of shoplifting, which Kasuga then refers him to Adachi Investigative Services.
One year later, Sasaki loses his job as banks now refuse to give loans to his employer, Koichi Adachi. He later seeks out the Seiryu Clan in an attempt to rejoin the yakuza, but is allowed to "remain as a civilian" by Masataka Ebina, who gives him work at a Seiryu Clan front company.
