Shiro (志郎) is a recurring character in the Yakuza series, first introduced in Yakuza 3. He is one of the residents of Morning Glory Orphanage.[1]

Shiro is shy but smart, and wants to become a doctor some day. Growing up, he becomes interested in technology, playing on a simulated stock market app on his tablet.

Yakuza 3 Edit

Shiro is being bullied by another boy in his class called Yoshinori, whose father, Hashimoto, is the teacher. Hashimoto threatens to call a local councillor called Akasaka to try and have Morning Glory Orphanage shut down. This backfires spectacularly however when Akasaka comes round to find Shiro is an extremely pleasant boy. He instead criticizes Yoshinori, saying to Hashimoto that he must be a nightmare to teach.
