Shungiku (春菊, Shungiku) is a character featured in Lost Judgment. He is a member of the Bakuon Rairyu faction of the biker gang Made in Heaven.

Appearance[]
Shungiku is a muscular man with a red mohawk as his primary distinguishing feature. Like other members of the Bakuon Rairyu, he wears diesel-punk armor during races. In his case, he wears dark blue suit pants with black shoes and a metal chest plate with shoulder guards.

Shungiku is a proud man who revels in his reputation as the fastest racer in his home province of Ibaraki.

Background[]
Shungiku was once the fastest motorcycle racer in Ibaraki Prefecture, earning him the nickname of "The Wild Bull of Ibaraki" (茨城の猛牛, Ibaraki no Mōushi). Shungiku claims the name originated because he used to "ride wild bulls", but this could easily be a self-aggrandizing lie. He was eventually recruited by Junpei Hanasaki into the Bakuon Rairyu motorcycle gang and relocated to Yokohama. When the Rairyu became a sub-group within the Made in Heaven biker gang, Shungiku became part of them as well.
Lost Judgment - 2021[]
In 2021, Takayuki Yagami joins Made in Heaven at the behest of Seiryo High School student Kyoko Amasawa to convince her classmate, Yuma Suou, the new leader of Made in Heaven, to leave the gang. In order to do so, Yagami must beat Suou in a death race, but before that he must defeat the leaders of all of the gang's factions in death races, which in turn requires that he defeat three of their best racers beforehand.
When Yagami decides to take on the Bakuon Rairyu, Shungiku is the second member he faces. Since Yagami had previously defeated Matatabi in a death race, Shungiku was excited to take on Yagami, boasting about how he'd previously broken wild bulls, sho he could easily break him as well. Despite his bravado, Shungiku loses the ensuing race.
Later on, when Yagami is trying to learn more about Hanasaki before his race with him, he turns to Shungiku, Matatabi and Imogashira for advice, since they were part of his gang. Shungiku tells Yagami that Hanasaki has been homeless for a couple years, since his family of traditional fireworks-makers rejected his joining of a motorcycle gang.
