Template:Location Tojo Clan or Tojo Association (東城会, Tōjō-kai) was founded by Makoto Tojo and, since 2008, is headed by its 6th Chairman Daigo Dojima of the Dojima Family. It is Kanto's largest yakuza organization, made up of more than 30,000 men.

History

The furthest extent about the clan's history dates back to 1980, where the clan carried out the infamous Jingweon massacre, where members of Tojo Clan's Dojima Family murdered 33 out of 36 Jingweon operatives.

Five years later, in 1985, the Clan got into hot water when the Ueno Seiwa hit happened, where a member of Tojo Clan's Sasai Family massacred men from the Ueno Seiwa Clan. It turned out that the hit was originally going to be used by the family's patriarch Hideki Sasai as a means to defuse and mediate the ongoing conflict between both clans, but botched some time before the hit.

In the following years, the clan seemed to prosper, after Masaru Sera, the president of Nikkyo Consortium, an organization within the Tojo Clan ranks, was appointed chairman following Takashi Nihara's retirement. However, in 2005, another incident happened: Chairman Sera was murdered and the clan's ten billion yen went missing, causing problems to the clan as many people are gunning for the chairman position. Ultimately, the position was given to Kazuma Kiryu through a will from both Sera and Kazama. As it turned out, Sera let Kazama to decide who is going to be the next chairman should he died. However, Kiryu decided to retire right after his appointment ceremony, and passed the position to Yukio Terada, a close acquaintance of Kazama.

In February 2006, in an effort to rebuild the clan and to fill the empty clan captain seat, Terada announced a reformation plan, which states that the family with the most contribution for the clan may have their patriarch promoted to captain, sparking a competition between the direct families, especially Majima Family, Uematsu Family, and Ibuchi Family. Ten months later, in December of 2006, Terada was assassinated, leaving the chairman position empty once again. However, this time, Kiryu personally wanted Daigo Dojima (Sohei Dojima's son) to take the position to prevent a possible war. In order to temporarily fill the chairman seat, Yayoi Dojima stepped in as acting chairwoman.

Two years later, in 2008, Daigo Dojima is officially appointed as the sixth chairman of the Tojo Clan, under full support from senior members of the clan. Shortly after his appointment, Daigo was shot by a man whose the spitting image of Shintaro Kazama.

Following the incident, Daigo made a full recovery and resume his position as the clan's chairman. In 2010, the clan officiates a new family within its ranks: the Saejima Family, headed by Taiga Saejima, a legendary yakuza once famous for the Ueno Seiwa hit back in 1985.

In 2012, Daigo planned to form a nationwide alliance of yakuza by forming ties with several yakuza families and clans from across the country, a somewhat controversial feat due to Daigo's notoriously egalitarian approach which stretches to much smaller organizations.

Fast forward to 2016, Daigo is now imprisoned, and Katsumi Sugai, patriarch of Sugai Family and a previously unknown yakuza of the Tojo Clan was appointed as its acting chairman. Daigo was later release from prison and decide to form a pact with Yomei Alliance respecting Kiryu wishes not avenging him
