Yakuza Kiwami 3 / Dark Ties (龍が如く 極3 / 龍が如く3外伝 Dark Ties, Ryū Ga Gotoku: Kiwami 3 / Ryū Ga Gotoku: 3 Gaiden: Dark Ties, lit. "Like a Dragon: Extreme 3 / Like A Dragon 3 Side Story: Dark Ties") is an upcoming remake of the original 2009 Yakuza 3. It is a sequel to Yakuza Kiwami 2, which is a remake of the original Yakuza 2. While the game's main storyline is identical to that of the original Yakuza 3, a number of new features are included. These primarily include the use of the engine, graphics and combat system of recent Yakuza games, rerecorded (and partially recast) voice acting, and a new storyline named Dark Ties that stars Yoshitaka Mine as a playable character and is available from the start.
The game will be released for the PlayStation 4WP, PlayStation 5WP, Xbox Series X/SWP, Microsoft WindowsWP and Nintendo Switch 2WP on February 11/12, 2026.
