Yuto the Rising Star is a member of the anti-yakuza vigilante group known as The Reapers, whom Kazuma Kiryu faces off against during the Hitman sidestory in Yakuza 3.

Yuto is a young, 20-something man who became a criminal at a young age. He eventually had a chance encounter with the leader of the Reapers, who saw great potential in him and decided to take him under his wing and mentor him in the craft of assassination.

Yuto spent years training under his new teacher and eventually became one of the Reapers' most skilled hitmen

Yakuza 3Edit

After he joins forces with Ibuki and the Honest Living Association, Kiryu is sent to find Yuto and convince them to leave the Reapers.

Kiryu tracks Yuto down to Children's Park, where he is being harassed by two hoodlums. Fearing that the Reaper will kill those two thugs for threatening him, Kiryu intervenes and gets the two thugs to leave by beating them up.

Yuto initially disregards Kiryu, telling him that he needn't have bothered, since he could have taken the two thugs on by himself. However, when Kiryu reveals that he knows his identity, Yuto attacks him, since he says he can't allow anyone who knows who he is live after seeing what he looks like. Despite Yuto's considerable skill, Kiryu manages to defeat him.

Impressed by Kiryu's combat prowess, Yuto agrees to go to the HLA and listen to their offer to help him reform. However, out of loyalty to the Reapers' leader, he refuses to reveal his hidden identity.
